Desired Objects

Don't you find it interesting that certain, seemingly random objects become the "in" things for a time-someone out there decides that a moustache is the cool thing, and suddenly your clothing, jewellery and all manner of accessories are all covered in handlebars, horseshoes and fu manchus! (See the ever-popular moustache ring below, $7).



It is always entertaining to witness the reactions of parents, grandparents, etc. who visit the shop seeking 'something cool' for the teenager in the house. When we direct them to the camera rings and octopii pendants, they inevitably wonder why the appeal?! The only answer I can ever come up with is that they're...just...cool (without launching into postmodernist musings of the sort no one wants to hear)!

So, with all that in mind, we've just received some excellent new jewellery and, just so you're in the know about Spring 2011's new desired objects, here's a little sampling:
